I want my Blue Gulf forever and this Peninsula full of life!

Your voice matters

The projects that endanger the San Matías Gulf all hinge on one decisive factor: financing. Without the support of banks, insurers, and investment funds, they cannot move forward.

That is why our campaign is aimed directly at these institutions. By financing these projects, they are contradicting their own public commitments to sustainability and environmental responsibility.

We want a Blue Gulf forever. Will you stand with us?

Ask UNESCO to protect Península Valdés, our World Heritage Site.

This is what UNESCO will receive:

To UNESCO representatives: As you may know by IUCN “World Heritage Outlook” from 2025 Ongoing hydrocarbon treatment and transport projects (projected to start in 2026) in the San Matías Gulf (Río Negro province) could have serious consequences for marine biodiversity, water and air quality, and the local economy and culture of the surrounding gulfs of Península Valdés (Chubut province), due to the strong oceanographic and biological connectivity of the region.

Several previous communications from regional organizations have warned your entity regarding this threat. This global hotspot of marine life conservation is in danger due to this hydrocarbon frontier expansion, as studies on potential oil spills prepared and interactions with emblematic species such as the southern right whale have demonstrated.

We ask you now to publicly commit to act in defense of this world heritage site and exhaust all available means to stop these threats over Peninsula Valdes
